Printer will not work after April 9, 2020 update

Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My printer stopped working after the April 9, 2020 update.  I use remanufactured  cartridges, which worked just fine. I lost 2 work days until I found out about HP's update.  I did all the steps that HP suggested, nothing worked. I did the internal test and the printer printed. It just won't print anything else, nothing from the PC not from phones or tablet.  It was showing ink levels until the update, now all I get are exclamation! marks. I'm tired of playing with this.  My resolution was to buy an Epson Eco tank printer and throw this thing out!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print. I'd be happy to assist you.


HP does not recommend using refilled or non-HP ink cartridges. It may or may not work. HP cannot guarantee the functionality of these ink cartridges.
