The printer won't copy

If your HP printer isn't able to copy, the most likely causes are: low ink levels, paper jams, incorrect printer settings, a faulty connection, clogged printheads, or a problem with the scanner unit;

Basic troubleshooting steps:

1. Check ink levels:

Make sure all ink cartridges have sufficient ink. 
 

2. Check paper feed:

Verify that paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that there are no paper jams. 
 

3. Check printer settings:

Ensure the copy settings are correct on the printer control panel (color/black and white, number of copies). 
 

4. Clean the printheads:

If you suspect clogged printheads, use the printer's cleaning function or follow instructions to manually clean them. 
 

5. Check connections:

Ensure the power cord is plugged in securely and that the USB cable (if used) is properly connected to both the printer and computer
