Hello!! I have the 7100 series hp printer.  During the printing process  it froze up.  I unplugged (over a half hour) and it will not fully boot back up. During the course of 3 days, I have been unplugging and plugging back in.  There are no jams.  I don’t know what else to try.

Hi @Monica9978 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7100 All-in-One Printer is experiencing some technical issues.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Power Cycle: Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet. Wait for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in and try to power it on again.
  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the printer and power source.
  • Reset Printer: Some printers have a reset button or sequence that can be used to reset the printer to its default settings. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by downloading the latest firmware from HP's website and following the instructions for installation. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check for Obstructions: Open the printer's access doors and check for any paper jams, foreign objects, or obstructions that may be preventing the printer from booting up properly. Even if there are no visible jams, it's a good idea to thoroughly inspect the printer for any debris that may be causing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
