HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

we had a really bad storm that caused the power to go out and it turned back on within seconds. My printer has been stuck on the loading screen. I have unplugged (for 30 seconds and more than 30 seconds) and plugged it back in several times. It just turns back on and gets stuck on the loading screen. Anyone have recommendations on what else I could try?

Welcome to the HP Community --

You'll need to unplug closer to 2 minutes or more.

Maybe try a different outlet in case one one you were using is fried.

At least for this test, do not plug the printer into other than a decent, working outlet - no surge protectors.

Why?  If the surge protector is puny or unsuitable for any reason, it might not allow enough power for the printer to boot.

Troubleshooting

HP printer does not turn on

What else?

The power supply might be fried -- at least the printer is an older one, though that still won't great news if you have a pile of ink cartridges you won't be able to use.

Thanks for the advise! It’s much appreciated! I did unplug it and left it unplugged overnight the other day. I have it plugged into the outlet on the wall that my TV is also plugged into. I did try to unplug it today for several hours and just recently plugged it into a different wall. Unfortunately, it’s still stuck on the loading screen.

You are welcome.

Too bad advice did not actually help

😑

Might be fried?

If the onboard data is "gone" or corrupted, I'm not sure there is a solution.

Partly Fried Printer Power Supply?

Is there even such a thing?

I did have luck with a "not fried in storm" stubborn Envy Photo when I held down the power button for ... what?  30 seconds -- then released.  The printer came back with an error plastered one the printer control panel but it did let me restart (press and release the power).  Printer seems fine now.  Meh?

We do have a couple of hot-shot printer hardware Experts in the group -- perhaps one of them will chime in with actual advice.

@ShlomiL- Any wise words of advice?
