Printer won't print color

I have tried many times to print in color but the printer just won't do it. I have looked on different websites for a solution but I couldn't find any. I know the ink is not the problem because it prints the Print Quality Diagnostic in color but not what I actually want to print. I don't know if the problem is because I use a Mac or not but I need help.

Please try following the steps below and check if that may help, try following the Diagnose and Fix option within HP Smart, if that doesn't help remove and re-add the printer as suggested and check if you may see any difference then:

Also, please make sure the operating system is up to date with the latest 10.5.7 version for Catalina, an outdated OS version may cause such behavior in many cases:

I have the same problem with HP Deskjet Plus 4100 All-in-One series on BigSur macOS (M1 Mac 2020).

There is only Black and White presets. I tried reinstalling the printer, but is the same problem.

It is printing color only the Print Quality Report. For the rest of applications, including Print Documents in HP Smart, it does not let me change color mode from B&W.

Just solved it, I removed and added the printer again in System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (so not only in HP Smart).
