Printer won’t print

HP Recommended
HP ENVY 5530
iOS

Whenever I try to print documents from my iphone, it will say preparing printer but then my printer doesn’t print anything out like it normally does. I then turned off my printer, however it just said “turning off” for ages but wouldn’t turn off. After leaving it to load for a while it then says “There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer Off, then on”. Then as soon as I press the power button it switches off. Then once I turn the printer on again and try to print I have the exact same issue. I don’t know what the issue with the printer is. Can anyone help me?

@Elysia101

Welcome to the HP support community.

Did you make a copy and check if that copies fine?

Meanwhile:-

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

Here are the steps:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.
