HP Recommended

My printer won't print and gives me an error message: "Printer failure: There is a problem with the printer or print system. Turn the system off then on. If you continue to get this message contact HP"

I have turned it off and on many times, and it never changes. There is no paper jam. The software/driver is up to date. There is paper in the tray. There is ink. It is connected to my network.
