Hi @Soderberg1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Smart Tank 7000 printer is showing a flashing power light, and the display reads "00", which typically indicates the printer is idle or in a ready state, but the flashing light might suggest a minor error or attention needed.

Here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Power Cycle the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
    • Wait for 1–2 minutes.
    • Plug it back in and turn the printer on.

  2. Check for Paper or Ink Issues:
    • Make sure there’s no paper jam or empty paper tray.
    • Check ink levels and ensure the ink tanks are properly filled.

  3. Inspect the Printhead:
    • If the printhead icons are blinking or showing errors, it might need cleaning or reseating.

  4. Update Firmware:
    • Use the HP Smart App or visit the HP support site to check for firmware updates.

You can find detailed information about blinking lights and error codes for your printer: HP Smart Tank 6000, 7000, 7300, 7600 Printers - Blinking lights and error codes | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
