My printer randomly started printing one document over and over and won't stop. I have done a factory reset, there is nothing in the queue, I have disconnected and reconnected the printer to the computer, and I have restarted both the computer and printer.  My computer is a Dell laptop. Thanks.

@PrinterQ4, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is printing the same document over and over. If you have already tried a hard reset, check the print queue, and also performed a factory reset on the printer, the issue should have been resolved.

Doing this will delete all the settings on the printer. What is the page being printed?

After the factory reset, the printer will not be connected to any device. It cannot continue printing unless it is printing an internal test page or a copy.

Go to Setup > Tools > Restore to factory defaults again and check if it helps.

If the issue persists, let us perform a semi-full reset.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
