I am getting a message that reads: "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink." I no longer am using Instant Ink for this printer (though I have in the past). I had just installed a new black ink cartridge that you had sent me back when I did have Instant Ink.

Hi @KenF33,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
If you are receiving a message stating "Cartridge cannot be used until printer is enrolled in HP Instant Ink" after installing a new black ink cartridge, even though you are no longer using HP Instant Ink, here’s how you can resolve this issue:
Since you are no longer enrolled in HP Instant Ink but the cartridge is prompting this message, it’s likely that the cartridge you installed was originally meant for use with Instant Ink.
If you have canceled your Instant Ink account, here's what you need to know & do:
If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use HP regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.
That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536
when done successfully, check if it works fine.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
