My desktop computer cannot be upgraded to Windows 11, so I am on My Laptop HP Envy x360. It was already set up with my printer, but it won't print everything like a bank statement. Printer is HP Envy 5660.

Hi @Joankm777

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing the issue—I’m really sorry your HP Envy 5660 isn’t printing certain documents like bank statements. Since it prints other items, the problem likely lies in how specific files are formatted or processed.

Let’s walk through a few steps to restore full printing functionality.

Step 1: Confirm the File Type and Source

  • If the bank statement is a PDF, open it using Adobe Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Edge, not a browser preview or third-party app.
  • If it’s a web-based statement, download it as a PDF before printing.

Some websites use layered or secure formats that block printing directly from the browser.

Step 2: Use the HP App to Print the File

  1. Open the HP App on your laptop.
  2. Tap Print Documents and select the bank statement file.
  3. Choose Color or Black & White, and confirm Paper Size.
  4. Tap Print.

This bypasses browser or app limitations and sends the job directly to the printer.

Step 3: Check Print Settings in Windows

  1. Open the bank statement and press Ctrl + P.
  2. In the print dialog:
    • Select HP Envy 5660 series as the printer.
    • Click More Settings or Preferences.
    • Ensure Print in grayscale is unchecked.
    • Set Paper Size to match the document (usually A4 or Letter).
  3. Click Print.

Step 4: Update the Printer Driver

  1. Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Printers or Print queues.
  3. Right-click your HP Envy 5660 > Update driver > Search automatically.
  4. Restart your laptop after the update.

Step 5: Reinstall the Printer (If Issue Persists)

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  2. Remove the HP Envy 5660.
  3. Open the HP App, tap Add Printer, and follow the setup steps.
  4. Try printing the bank statement again.

Let me know how the printer responds after trying the HP App and adjusting the print settings. I’ll guide you further based on what happens next. You deserve a smooth, reliable print experience—and I’m here to help you get there.
