Hi @Ovidio2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I know how frustrating it is when your HP printer says “Document is loading” but never actually prints.
Let’s walk through the steps to fix this issue, and I’ll also share a trusted HP support link so you can feel confident and safe while troubleshooting.
1. Clear the Print Queue
Sometimes, a stuck print job can block everything else.
- On Windows:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click your printer > See what’s printing > Cancel all documents. - On macOS:
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Right-click your printer > Reset printing system, then re-add the printer.
2. Restart the Print Spooler (Windows only)
This service manages print jobs and can freeze.
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:
net stop spooler
del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q
net start spooler
3. Run HP App
This free tool from HP can automatically detect and fix issues.
4. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
Outdated or corrupt drivers can cause loading issues.
- Visit the official HP driver page:
HP Software and Driver Downloads
5. Check for Paper and Ink Issues
Even if the printer says “loading,” it might be waiting for paper or ink.
- Make sure the paper is properly aligned and the ink levels are sufficient.
- Clean the paper feed rollers if needed.
