I know this is a known issue but what is not known is how to fix it! I think it is the cartridges, but I have replaced them with HP, of course and still nothing.
I have gone through all the updates, cleaning, new HP cartridges, blah, blah.
How do I fix it?
Not to mention the HP website is horrible! Looking for product updates or anything that will help and it refreshes to "new products", I tried calling and the number listed has one less digit than a phone number. Makes me think my next product will not be HP!!!!!!!!!! Which is sad because I have always been a fan...not sure what has happened to you HP!
Enough ranting. How do I fix my printer that I love?

It would really be useful to know the printer model.
You mention cartridges. I am guessing the problem is the cartridges and not any type of network or Wi-Fi problem.
To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.
