I have the HP Envy 7155. For some reason my printer has been stuck on the start up screen for days. When the loading bar reaches the end it completely freezes and is stuck on the hp screen. The power button is lit however it will not power off when pressed.  Besides the power button there aren’t any other lights that are on. I have unplugged the printer for up to 5 minutes at a time and the same thing occurs when plugged back in. There are no paper jams. What do I do about this issue?

@Monty2025, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy 7155 printer is stuck on the start-up screen, these steps may help resolve the issue:

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the power cord from the printer while it is still powered on.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the power source.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • If you manage to restart the printer successfully, check for any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP support website. Keeping firmware updated can help resolve many issues.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure there aren’t any obstructions or paper jams inside the printer.
  • Verify that all printer components are correctly installed and seated.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
