Hi @TallTara,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0xc19a0024 on your HP printer typically indicates a printhead issue, often related to the ink system. This can happen due to:
- Clogged or misaligned printhead
- Faulty ink cartridges
- Firmware or software glitches
- Electrical issues after a power surge
Steps to try:
1. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall and the printer.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
This clears temporary memory glitches.
2. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove all cartridges.
- Reinsert them one by one, ensuring they click into place.
- Close the door and restart the printer.
3. Clean the Printhead
If your printer has a removable printhead:
- Remove it carefully.
- Clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Let it dry completely before reinserting.
Some HP models also allow automatic printhead cleaning via the printer’s control panel.
4. Update Firmware via HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart app from HP’s site.
- Connect your printer.
- Go to Settings → Advanced Settings → Printer Updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
