My printer has the error message:  Missing or Failed Printhead - The printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed.

I did all the suggested online things such as unplug printer, wait, plug in again - several times.  Replaced all print cartridges and chatted with the Virtual Support.

Assuming I need a new printhead - Only online says I have to buy two printheads at $149 each - not sold separately for my printer.  Do you know of anyway to get one new printhead or do I need to buy a new printer?

This problem is caused when you run the ink too low, or out of ink.  I had that exact model (circa 2014), and the same problem.  That model "naming" scheme changed years ago. The printhead is one part,  plus the 4 starter ink cartridges.

The following is now warranted by HP or myself.  It is research.
