Printhead failure

I get an error that printhead is not installed or not available. Tried all the steps but none worked. This model does NOT have replaceable printhead. Is it worth repairing? Should I replace printer rather than repair? Are local stores (Staples, Best Buy etc) acceptable repair places?

@lacoff, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Error Indicates Faulty Printhead, and the error persists, I'm afraid the printhead has gone bad.

I suggest you upgrade the printer as buying a printhead will cost you almost as much as a new printer and it is subject to its availability. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
