Hello, I have an HP Officejet Pro 7740. It is currently saying the printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed I have already tried the hard reset, half full reset, cleaning the electrical contacts and reseating the print head. I would like to know further alternative troubleshooting methods and greatly appreciate any help regarding the firmware.

I should also note that I replaced the old printhead as well.

Go here and put in the printer's serial number and verify you were sold the correct printhead.

strange, the 7740 is not an old printer.   It is discontinued but is supported for windows 11 and MacOS up to 15

I looked here for parts , the printhead is part number M0H90A about $150-230 on amazon
