@Tee0714, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printhead Errors on HP OfficeJet Pro 8210!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're experiencing a "printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or not properly installed" error message on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8210, here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Turn Off the Printer:

  • To begin, turn off your printer and unplug its power source. This ensures no power is being supplied to the printer during the troubleshooting process.

Open Ink Cartridge Access Door:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door to reveal the printhead and ink cartridges.

Remove and Reinstall the Printhead:

  • If the error message is displayed, it's possible that the printhead is not seated correctly. Carefully remove the printhead from its position and inspect it for any debris or obstructions.
  • Reinsert the printhead ensuring it is firmly seated in its cradle.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges and inspect them to make sure they are free from damage and have sufficient ink. Reinsert them correctly into their positions.

Close the Printer:

  • Once you have reseated the printhead and ink cartridges, close the access door securely.

Restart the Printer:

  • Reconnect the power source, switch on the printer, and check if the error message persists.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • If the issue remains, it might be due to ink or dust on the electrical contacts. Carefully clean the gold contacts on the printhead and inside the printer. Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swabs lightly moistened with distilled water. Avoid using cleaning agents or solvents.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
