Hi @Me528,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6078 is printing PDFs too faintly, here are some steps you can try to fix the issue.

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Low ink levels can cause faint printing.

Print Quality Settings: Adjust the print quality settings in the printer properties. Choose a higher quality setting like "Best" or "High" to improve the print output.

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printing Preferences.
  • Look for the Quality or Paper/Quality tab and adjust the settings.

Clean Print Head: Run a print head cleaning cycle from the printer’s control panel or software. This can resolve issues with faint printing due to clogged nozzles.

  • Go to the printer’s control panel.
  • Navigate to Setup > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.

Check Paper Type: Ensure you are using the correct type of paper for your print job. Some paper types may affect the print quality.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause print quality issues.

  • Visit the HP website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers.

Printer Calibration: Perform a printer calibration or alignment if available. This can help correct any alignment issues affecting print quality.

  • Check the printer’s menu or software for calibration or alignment options.

PDF File Quality: Ensure the PDF file you’re printing is of high quality. If the PDF is low resolution, it might print faintly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
