Hello,

My printer had been working great for years until just recently.  It either says there is an error in printing and doesn't print at all, or it prints funky pages with black streaks and symbols (although sometimes it prints just fine).  I don't know if it's because we got a new AT&T router or not.  I downloaded the HP Print/Scan doctor.  Everything looks good although sometimes it won't print a test page.

Please help!  And as mentioned in my user name, I am not that tech savvy.

Thank you.

Hi @Not_Tech_Savvy2,

I'd like to help with the printing issue.

To better assist you -

1) Does the copy print out the same way?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display additional options.

  3. Touch Setup (), touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report. The Print Quality Diagnostics Report prints.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
