Hi @Ramos_InHome,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 5255 is printing blank pages even after installing new ink cartridges. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check cartridge installation

Open the cartridge access door and remove both cartridges.

Reinstall them firmly until they click into place.

Verify cartridge type

Make sure you are using genuine HP 63 or HP 63XL cartridges (depending on your region).

Non-HP or incompatible cartridges can cause blank page issues.

Run printhead cleaning

From the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app, go to Printer Maintenance → Clean Printhead.

Run the cleaning cycle up to 3 times, allowing the printer to rest between cycles.

Print a diagnostic page

In Printer Maintenance, select “Print Quality Report.”

Check if black and color blocks appear. Missing blocks indicate clogged or faulty nozzles.

Inspect cartridge vents and contacts

Remove the cartridges and check the small vent holes on top.

If clogged, gently clean with a pin. Wipe the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth.

Check ink levels

Low or empty cartridges can still trigger blank pages.

Replace if the ink level is critically low.

Try another cartridge

If possible, install a different genuine HP cartridge.

A defective cartridge can cause persistent blank printing.

Update printer firmware

Use the HP Smart app or HP’s support site to check for firmware updates.

Updates can improve cartridge recognition and printhead performance.

I hope this helps.
