Hi @Katyk1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When you see a message saying your settings are blocked printing, it usually means the browser or PDF viewer is preventing the print dialog from opening, or the printer driver settings are restricting the job. Here’s how to fix it:
Step 1: Check Browser Settings
If you’re printing the USPS label from a browser:
- Allow Pop-ups for USPS:
- In Chrome:
Settings > Privacy & Security > Site Settings > Pop-ups and redirects
Add https://www.usps.com to Allowed.
- In Chrome:
- Disable any ad-blocker or script-blocker extensions temporarily.
Step 2: Download the Label Instead
- On the USPS site, choose Download Label instead of Print.
- Open the downloaded PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader or another PDF viewer.
- Print from there using File > Print.
Step 3: Check Printer Preferences
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP printer → Printing Preferences.
- Ensure:
- Paper Size matches the label.
- Color/Grayscale settings are correct.
- Security or Restricted Printing is not enabled.
Step 4: Use HP App
- Install HP app from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
- Open the USPS label in the HP app and print it directly; it bypasses browser restrictions.
Step 5: Clear Print Queue
- If the job is stuck:
- Press Win + R, type services.msc.
- Restart the Print Spooler service.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
