Hi @Chingholy88,

I'd like to help!

Try the below suggestions -

 Close the ink cartridge door

Make sure the ink cartridge door is completely closed.

  1. If the ink cartridge access door is open, close it.

    DeskJet 2700

    DeskJet Plus 4100

Closing the ink cartridge access door

  2. If the cartridge access door is closed and the light is Power light blinking fast, the printer is in an error state. You can then resolve by following the on-screen messages on the device you are printing from. If you do not see any onscreen messages, try printing a document to generate an on-screen message.

Try to print.

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The door is closed. I replaced the color ink cartridge and now keep getting the message the door is open.
