When I print the picture is not situated where the original is. It will be placed way down left with a big marginal up.
Why and what to do about it?

Hi @PS5311,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are facing issues with the Printing error.
To resolve the issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 E-All-In-One Printer printing pictures misaligned on macOS 12.0 Monterey, follow these steps:
Check Print Settings:
- Open the document or picture you want to print.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the print dialog, check the Layout and Paper Handling settings to ensure they are correctly set for your paper size and orientation.
- Ensure that Scale to fit or a similar option is selected, if available.
Update Printer Driver:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
- Download and install the latest driver and software package for macOS 12.0 Monterey.
- After installation, restart your computer and try printing again.
Reset the Printing System:
- Open System Preferences and go to Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the printer list and select Reset printing system.
- Confirm the reset and then add your printer again by clicking the + button.
Align the Print Head:
- Use the printer's control panel to navigate to the printer maintenance settings.
- Select the option to align the print head and follow the on-screen instructions.
- This process will ensure that the print heads are correctly aligned for accurate printing.
Check Paper Size and Type:
- Make sure that the paper size and type settings in the printer driver match the paper loaded in the printer.
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click on Options & Supplies.
- Ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected.
print from Preview:
- Open the document or picture in the Preview app.
- Go to File > Print.
- In the print dialog, check the Scale and Position options to ensure the content is centered and scaled correctly.
Check Application Settings:
- If you are printing from a specific application, check the print settings within that application.
- Ensure that any scaling, positioning, or margin settings are correctly configured.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, I recommend you contact phone support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
