HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer

HP Envy 6455. Printer picks and chooses which pages it wants to completely print. Half the time it prints half the page. Doesn’t show an error just acts like it’s done printing of course each of those half pages count towards my instant ink count. 🙄 I’m really hoping someone has a suggestion or fix for this. I have a project to work on and I’d prefer not to continue wasting resources, paper and ink.

Hi @Brittbritt1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue with your printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause printing issues.
  • Verify Ink Levels: Ensure that your ink cartridges have enough ink to complete the print job. Low ink levels can cause incomplete printing.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Sometimes outdated printer drivers can cause printing problems. Check the HP website for the latest drivers and update them if necessary.
  • Adjust Print Settings: Try adjusting the print settings in your printer software. For example, you can try changing the print quality or selecting a different paper type.
  • Reset Printer: Sometimes a simple reset can fix minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again.
  • Clean Printer Heads: If the printer heads are dirty or clogged, it can cause printing problems. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the printer heads. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Test Print from Another Device: Print a test page from a different device, such as a computer or smartphone, to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the printer or the original device.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help you resolve the issue and get your printer working properly again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
