Hi @Shera17,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet M140 printer is not printing the full page, particularly if the middle part is missing, there could be a few potential causes and troubleshooting steps to try.
- Check Paper Settings: Ensure that the paper size and type settings on both the printer and your computer match the paper loaded in the printer. Incorrect settings can cause printing issues.
- Inspect Paper Tray: Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and is not skewed or jammed. Adjust the paper guides to fit snugly against the edges of the paper.
- Clean Print Heads: Use the printer's cleaning utility to clean the print heads. This can help remove any debris or dried ink that may be obstructing the printing process.
- Update Printer Driver: Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your computer. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing problems. You can download the latest driver from the HP website.
- Print Quality Settings: Check the print quality settings in the printer driver settings. Sometimes, lower-quality settings may result in missing or faint prints. Try increasing the print quality to see if it resolves the issue.
- Reset Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues with the printer.
- Check Toner Cartridge: Ensure that the toner cartridge is properly installed and seated in the printer. Remove the cartridge and gently shake it to redistribute the toner evenly. Reinstall the cartridge and try printing again.
- Perform Printer Self-Test: Print a self-test page from the printer's control panel. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the computer or print job.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the issue with your HP LaserJet M140 printer not printing the full page.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
