Hi @keppies1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 5275 All-in-One Printer frequently sends print jobs to the print queue and only prints after you restart the printer, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer Status

  • Ensure Printer is Online:
    • Make sure the printer is set as the default printer and is online. You can check this in the printer settings on your computer.

2. Clear the Print Queue

  • Clear Stuck Jobs:
    1. On your computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    2. Select your HP printer and click on Open queue.
    3. Right-click any stuck print jobs and select Cancel.

3. Restart Print Spooler Service

Sometimes the print spooler service may encounter issues:

Open Run Dialog:

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.

Type services.msc:

  • Press Enter to open the Services window.

Find Print Spooler:

  • Scroll down and find Print Spooler.

Restart the Service:

  • Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.

4. Update Printer Drivers

Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed:

Open HP Support Website:

Download Latest Drivers:

  • Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers.

Install the Drivers:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated drivers.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @keppies1,

Please find the next steps below.

5. Check USB or Network Connection

USB Connection:

  • If using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected, and try using a different USB port on your computer.

Wireless Connection:

  • If connected via Wi-Fi, check the printer’s network status to ensure it is connected to the correct network.

6. Disable SNMP Status

Sometimes the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) status can cause connectivity issues:

Open Devices and Printers:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-Click Printer:

  • Right-click on your HP printer and select Printer Properties.

Ports Tab:

  • Click on the Ports tab.

Configure Port:

  • Select the port your printer is using, then click on Configure Port.

Uncheck SNMP Status:

  • Uncheck the Enable SNMP Status box and click OK.

7. Perform a Printer Reset

You can also try resetting the printer to its default settings:

Turn Off Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

Wait 60 Seconds:

  • Leave it unplugged for about 60 seconds.

Plug it Back In:

  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it may indicate a deeper software or hardware problem. Contacting HP Phone Support for further assistance would be advisable.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
