I'm printing on gloss paper, made by Koala. The ink simply doesn't stay on the page. After the print job is done, I let the page sit for plenty of time, to make sure it's dry. The image on the paper keeps coming out with streaks, and smudges. If I touch the image at all, the ink is all over the place. As far as I know, everything else is normal, except that it's not HP paper. However, all printing on regular paper looks great.

Is there some setting I need to turn on/off? Do I need exclusively HP paper? Anything helps.

Hi,

What exact paper type do you use? Is it listed as compatible with Laser printers? I can see many Koala’s Photo Glossy paper intended for Inkjet Printers only, not for Laser Printers..

Please include a picture of the packaging information on the used Photo Paper.

It says All Inkjet Printers. It’s definitely an inkjet paper. I’ve had no issues using it with inkjet and laser printers. However, I’ve never had a HP. I know HP does their ink a bit different. Seems like an ink/laser hybrid. It basically seems like the ink is not being “absorbed” by the paper.

I actually returned the printer and got a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. It’s better with gloss paper, but still smudges pretty easily. I’m printing manuals/brochures, so things that will be handled a lot. Instead of just put into a frame. Hope this helps. I attached a pic of a couple Koala papers. Thank you!

Looks like the photo isn’t coming through. The paper definitely says All Inkjet Printers. Nothing about laser printers.
