Office Jet 3830. It makes copies fine, but when I send something wirelessly to copy like an email, it left justified to the point of actually cutting off some beginning letters.

Hi @Whbaxter ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the print alignment or paper settings might need adjustment. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Check Paper Size and Type: Ensure that the paper size and type settings in both your printer and printing software match the paper loaded in the printer. Incorrect settings can cause alignment issues.
  • Print Preview: Before printing, always preview the document to ensure it looks correct on the page. This will allow you to see if any content is getting cut off.
  • Margins: Check the margins settings in the document you're trying to print. Sometimes, if the margins are set too narrow, it can cause content to be cut off.
  • Printer Alignment: Many printers have an alignment feature that ensures the print head is correctly aligned with the paper. Check your printer's manual on how to perform an alignment.
  • Software Settings: Check the print settings in the software you're using to send the print job. Ensure that the page layout settings are correct and that the content is not being inadvertently cropped or resized.
  • Driver Update: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
  • Reset Printer Settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
