My HP Officejet Pro 8020 has an error message at startup and will not print or come online. Here is the error message.

 

Printhead Problem

There is a problem with the printhead.

Event Code: 62.80.13

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I'd be happy to help you! 

 

I understand that you are having issues with the print head error.

 

Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.

  1. Reset the printer
  2. Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  3. If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.
  4. Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  5. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  6. Wait 60 seconds.
  7. Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer to complete the reset.
