HP Officejet Pro 6970
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Since yesterday I have the error message "Problem with the print head" on my 4 year old Officejet Pro 6970.

This error occurred in the middle of a print job and has not gone away since.

I have already pulled the power plug a few times and taken out the ink cartridges, but nothing helped!

Have yesterday then also the firmware upgedatet, without further success!

I have used only original ink cartridges from HP Instant Ink from the beginning.

Can I throw away the printer now?

@DasLamm, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer/upgrade options.

Hope this helps!
