Hi @Gbos,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps for an "ink supply system" issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 and it's still not working, you might need to try a few more steps.
- Check Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove and reinsert them, ensuring they click into place securely.
- Clean Contacts: Turn off the printer and unplug it. Remove the ink cartridges and gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and inside the printer with a soft, lint-free cloth. Be careful not to get the cloth too wet.
- Reset Printer: Perform a hard reset by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Update Firmware: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve issues related to ink cartridges and supply systems.
- Replace Cartridges: If the problem persists, try using new or different ink cartridges to rule out the possibility of defective cartridges.
- Check for Firmware Errors: Sometimes the issue can be related to the printer’s firmware. Check the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app for any error messages or firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
