It's stuck with waiting for the printer to become available with my deskjet 1515 on my macbook pro.  I have used Disk Utility to Repair Permissions--everything is fine, tried it several times actually. I have unplugged the printer for 15 minutes and reconnected it (did a "hard reset"), tried it many times. Also reset the printing system in the system & preferences printers & scanners several times. Already reset the "PRAM" several times. I know it's not broken because it's printing when I align the ink cartridge. However it's not printing when I test printing. I think I already exhausted all possible troubleshooting steps but can't figure out what's wrong with it. I used to work fine. Scanning is working. Also tried it on my PC but I think it's the same, it's just sitting in the queue waiting for the printer to respond. I tried looking for a hotline to actually speak to an HP technical support but couldn't find one. Already updated the software & it's getting frustrating.

After trying a bunch of 'remedies', I de-installed the printer and re-installed it again. Voila!
