Hi @Mountscott,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0x61011bed on an HP Officejet 6500 PLUS usually indicates a mechanical issue within the printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary issues.
  • Check for Jammed Paper: Open the printer cover and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside the printer. If you find any, carefully remove them.
  • Check Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Sometimes, faulty cartridges can also cause this error.
  • Reset the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still on. Wait for about a minute, then reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.
  • Check USB Connection: Make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer. Try using a different USB port or a different USB cable if possible.
  • Reinstall Printer Driver: Uninstall the printer driver from your computer and then reinstall it. You can download the latest driver from the HP website.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware problem with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
