HP DeskJet 4220e All-in-One Printer

I need help urgently as I have to print something for school tomorrow. 😟

Quite a few months ago, (my dad had already bought the ink delivery plan) our printer ran out of ink, my sister decided to refill it herself. 🤦‍♀️

First, the printer can’t print because the ink has run out. Second, we’re trying to get back on the plan but, according to my dad, we can’t do that. He doesn’t even know if he got his money back (oops). 😣

All I request is, how to get back on the plan? 😓

Hi @emidoesstuff,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand the urgency. You’re trying to print something important for school, and your HP DeskJet 4220e All-in-One Printer is stuck due to an Instant Ink issue after your sister refilled the cartridges manually. Let’s get you back on track

How to Get Back on the Instant Ink Plan

1. Sign In to HP Instant Ink

  • Go to HP Instant Ink Portal: HP Instant Ink – Ink Monthly Subscription | HP Official Site
  • Sign in with the account your dad used to enroll.
  • Check the printer status:
    • If it says “Cancellation in Progress”, click “Keep Enrollment”.
    • If it says “Not Enrolled”, click “Re-enroll” and follow the steps.

2. Reconnect the Printer to the HP App

3. Use HP Instant Ink Cartridges

  • You’ll need original HP Instant Ink cartridges to complete the setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
