Note for common printer problems
Customers receiving the"will damage your computer" message along with others like "unable to access cups/tmp" or "'@%' cannot be opened" need to update their version of the macOS. Please check this article for more information: "HPxxxxx.framework" will damage your computer" message in macOS Catalina or Mojave .

Regional reset of printer (incompatible cartridge)

Hi,

 

Problem:

I bought my printer HP ENVY 4527 in Europe, but now I moved to India. Since Ink cartridge 302 is not available in India, I bought Ink cartridge 803 which is mentioned as compatible on HP website. But now i get an error: Incompatible cartridge.

 

I found a similar issue on this forum and this mentions that a 'regional reset' is to be performed on the printer but does not specify how. Can someone help me with this?

Hello! I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 that I purchased in the US. I now live in Mexico, and I was told I needed to replace the cartridges I received from the InkJet service because they would no longer work. I purchased HP cartridges from HP on line and ordered 958XL black and 954XL for cyan, magenta, and yellow. The HP website said these cartridges were compatible with my printer. I am now getting a message saying that the cartridges and I am being told I need to reset my computer for Mexico. I am running Windows 10 if this matters. Can someone help me? I've been trying to figure this out for over a month now, and am getting very frustrated!
