Hello. I need to be able to use HP printer cartridges in my HP printer. The problem is with the region of the printer. I need to change this. However I purchased the printer in the USA and now I live in Germany. However I am not able to reach HP support to get this issue resolved. I have tried the HP support phone number for Germany but it does not work. The HP support agent I spoke to on the phone just now also could not reach HP support for Germany.

I'd like to help!
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
