'Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge' message, out of the blue

HP Recommended

Out of the blue, I received a message on my printer's screen saying 'Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge, being sure to install it properly. If this message keeps showing, replace the cartridge with a new one.' I completed those directions, including putting in a new cartridge, and I'm still seeing the message. I have taken out BOTH cartridges, actually, and reinstalled.

Prior to getting this message, the last time I put in a new cartridge was about 3 weeks ago, and printing took place, just fine. This happened literally out of the blue! Help please!!

Hi @Eastland,

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
