I used to be able to scan a document and send it to my email and now its saying I need some software.  I'm not sure what software and why didn't I need this before?  How can this problem be rectified so I can scan to email again?

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

 

Remember that Scan to Email requires a stable network connection and an installed email program on the computer (Outlook or Thunderbird, for example).

 

Be mindful of the full range of benefits and limitations - budget printers may not provide all the features you expect.

 

At the least, check the Specifications and read the User Guide before you purchase a printer (or any device).
