HP Photosmart 7520e - All-In-One-Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm getting a script error trying to access the HP Printer Assistant on my HP Photosmart 7520e printer. I've been using the printer for several years now and all of a sudden I get the script error message: Line:52, Char:13, Error: Automation server can't create object, Code:0. The printer will print and scan. So far, I've tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor, downloaded and run the HPPSdr.exe patch, tried unistalling then reinstalling the printer. Then I ran the HPPSdr.exe patch again. Nothing has fixed the problem. Can someone please help me with a solution that works? I would greatly appreciate it.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there's an issue with the "Script Error".

Appreciate you trying the troubleshooting steps. Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Please try step# 2 from this document.

If the issue still persists, run a "System File Checker" -

1) Select Start, and in the search box, enter Command Prompt. Press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt (Desktop app) from the search results and select Run as administrator.

2) Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had run Step 2 from the document but ran it again. It didn't help. I did the System File Checker and the results said " Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. I'm still getting the exact same script error when trying to use the HP Printer Assistant (Line:52, Char:13, Error: Automation server can't create object, Code: 0.
This thing is driving me crazy!

Thanks for getting back to us.

Please try the root level un-install -

1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".

2) Look for HP Printer software.

3) Right-click to uninstall.

4) In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.

5) In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.

6) Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).

😎 Click on the "Drivers" tab.

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.

10) Select Ok.

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.

12) Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.

13) Restart the computer.

14) Download and install the software and drivers from here.

Keep me posted.
