Product: HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer series
Operating System: Linux

The HP web page asks for my product serial number for everything I need to do.  If My officejet 3830 has a serial number they sure hid it well.  The recommend several places to look but none panned out.  Does anyone know where it is.  Any help is appreciated.

No worries, I'll be glad to help you.

 

On the back of the printer, there is a barcode sticker, you can find the serial number on same barcode sticker.

As @Raj1788 is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. 

 

Ideally, the HP websites should not ask for the printer's serial number again and again. The HP website will ask for the printer model number in case you want to locate the drivers, troubleshooting document, etc. for the printer. 

 

You may try using a different web browser like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, etc. and give it a try.
