Hi @Imparior,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e printer is experiencing alignment issues when printing on 4x6 paper. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue.
Check Paper Size and Type Settings:
- Ensure that the paper size is set correctly to 4x6 in both the printer settings and the software you are printing from (HP software, Windows settings, or Lightroom).
- Make sure the paper type is set to match the 4x6 paper you are using (e.g., Photo Paper or Plain Paper).
Recalibrate the Printer:
- Since you mentioned performing calibration already, it's worth repeating the alignment process if the issue persists. You can access it from the printer settings via the printer's touchscreen or HP printer software.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Even if you've done a recent software update, ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed from HP's official website. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause alignment problems.
Check the Paper Feed Path:
- Make sure there are no obstructions in the paper feed path. Sometimes paper can shift or skew if it's not aligned properly when loading.
- Try gently fanning the stack of paper to avoid multiple sheets sticking together, causing misfeeds.
Adjust Paper Guide:
- Ensure the paper guides inside the paper tray are snugly adjusted to the size of the 4x6 paper. If the paper is loose, it might shift as it feeds into the printer.
Print Test Page:
- Print a test page directly from the printer's control panel to see if the shift occurs on a page printed without software interference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
