@FP_PI, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the “Supply System Problem” error for the black cartridge on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer, even after replacing the cartridge:

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer using the Power button.
  • If it doesn’t turn off, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector).
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check the Cartridge Vent

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove the black cartridge.
  • Inspect the vent area (small slit on top of the cartridge).
  • If clogged with adhesive or debris, gently clean it using a pin or paperclip.
  • Reinsert the cartridge and ensure it clicks into place.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges

Try a Different Cartridge

  • If available, try inserting a different black cartridge (even a used one) to check if the issue is with the cartridge or the printer.

Update Printer Firmware

Clean the Printhead

  • Use the printer’s control panel:
    • Tap Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Follow on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
