Referring to this post, we can report the same problem:
As soon as we select a custom paper format, the printer waits about 10 seconds between every page. In our case it's 105x297mm. (Half of A4, or in other words doubled A6). The mentioned reason to protect the printer when using small paper widths makes no sense, since we can print A6 in full speed (which has 105mm width also)
Any ideas on this? Thanks!

I am working with Clicit and would like to add the following:
We have a total of 14 HP LaserJet Pro M404dn (product number W1A53A) from the same series in use. We use these devices to print names on A6 cards. This has been working perfectly for months. However, we now also have a different paper format at the start. Namely 105x297mm, so 2x A6 on top of each other or in other words half an A4
I'm printing the custom PDF format with my MAC on the printer, but could also reproduce the issue with my Windows 10 machine. The colleague can also reproduce the issue on his Windows 10 system on one of the another of the 14 printers.
When we print A4, the system prints at full speed, A6 cards are printed at about 60% speed, which is OK for us. But the new format as described above is really a problem.
It prints at about 60% Speed, immediately after starting the job, the first copy and then pauses for 10 FULL SECONDS before each subsequent print!!!! Unfortunately, this is not acceptable for us!
As said we can reproduce the problem on MAC and on Windows with 2 different printers (same model) at 2 different company locations. The firmware is up to date (MOGAMIXXXN002.2310A.00) the drivers on MAC and Windows 10 are too of course.
Please for urgent help how we can work around this "bug".
