Hi @hateprinter3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing some technical issues with your printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Restart the Printer: You mentioned that you've already unplugged it several times, but try leaving it unplugged for a few minutes before plugging it back in. Sometimes this can help reset the printer's internal components.
  • Check Connections: Ensure that all cables connecting the printer to your computer or network are securely plugged in. Also, check the power cable and make sure it's connected properly to both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Even if the printer isn't displaying an error message, it's worth checking for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Open the printer's cover and inspect the paper path carefully.
  • Update Printer Firmware: If possible, check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.
  • Factory Reset: If none of the above steps work, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. This will reset all settings to their default values. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset, as the process can vary depending on the model.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue with your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
