Hi @mh2406,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the ink cartridges in your HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One printer may be incorrectly installed. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help correct the issue.
Turn On the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered on. The ink cartridge carriage should move to the center where you can access it.
Open the Ink Cartridge Access Door: This is usually located on the front or top of the printer.
Remove the Ink Cartridges: Gently push down on the ink cartridge to release it from the carriage. Carefully pull it out.
Check the Orientation: The metal contacts on the ink cartridges should face the printer's internal metal contacts. The cartridges usually have a label or guide to help with the correct orientation.
Reinstall the Cartridges:
- Insert the ink cartridges into their slots, making sure the metal contacts face the printer.
- Push the cartridges firmly into place until they click or lock into position.
Close the Ink Cartridge Access Door: Ensure it is properly closed.
Check for Any Errors: The printer may run a cleaning or alignment cycle automatically. Follow any prompts on the printer's display if it has one.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
