HP Officejet Pro 8600

No matter what I try the printer is stuck on  this message "There is a problem with the printer or ink system."  Turn printer off, then on.  If problem persists, contact HP."  I have tried everything for hours.  It is just stuck on this one comment on printer.

It looks it happened with latest firmware update: OJP8600_N911g-n_2011A... Tried with 3 different cyan cartridges (non original chip) and does not work..

Anyone have access to previous firmware ? I am trying to get

OJP8600_N911g-n_R1545A.dmg , but none of HP links does not work or requires ftp credentials.

Does yours say that only one of the colors is empty?  or whatever?  mine has a little red x at the top of my magenta color in the settings.  This is ridiculous since I spent 104 dollars on these ink cartridges...
