Hi @Bronswa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP printer is showing a “Supply System Problem” error even after replacing all cartridges with original HP ones. Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Check Cartridge Installation

Power off the printer.

Open the cartridge access door and remove all cartridges.

Reinstall them one at a time, ensuring they click firmly into place.

Make sure the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer are clean and free of dust.

2. Inspect for Protective Tape or Packaging

Make sure all protective tape and packaging from the new cartridges has been removed.

Sometimes a small piece of tape left on the cartridge can trigger a supply system error.

3. Perform a Hard Reset

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.

Wait 60 seconds, then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.

Plug the printer back in and power it on.

4. Check for Firmware Updates

Connect the printer to a PC or HP Smart app.

Go to Printer Settings → Tools → Printer Updates and install any available firmware updates.

5. Clean Cartridge Contacts

Power off the printer and remove the cartridges.

Using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water, gently clean the gold contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer carriage.

Let dry completely and reinstall.

6. Check for Mechanical Issues

Look for any obstructions in the cartridge carriage that might prevent proper seating.

Ensure the cartridge carriage moves freely across the printer.

7. Test with One Cartridge at a Time

If the problem persists, try installing only the black cartridge, power on, and check if the error clears.

Then add the color cartridge. This helps identify if one cartridge is triggering the error.

I hope this helps.
