Hi @GLSSR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blinking white light on your HP Tango X printer usually indicates a connection issue, such as the printer losing its Wi-Fi network connection. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Check the Printer’s Network Connection
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working properly and the printer is within range of the router.
- Verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. If the network name or password has changed, reconnect the printer.
Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
- Reset Wi-Fi Settings on the Printer:
- Hold down the Wi-Fi button on the back of the printer for about 5 seconds until the light starts blinking blue.
- Reconnect via the HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Follow the prompts to add a new printer and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 1-2 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on. Check if the light stops blinking.
Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults
- If the issue persists, perform a factory reset:
- With the printer powered on, press and hold both the Wi-Fi button and the Power button for 5-10 seconds.
- Release both buttons when the printer light flashes.
- Reconfigure the printer using the HP Smart app.
Ensure Firmware is Up to Date
- Outdated firmware can cause functionality issues:
- Go to the HP Support website and check for the latest firmware updates.
- Use the HP Smart app to update the printer firmware if connected.
Check for Obstructions or Hardware Issues
- Ensure there is no paper jam or debris inside the printer.
- Open the printer’s access panel and check the ink cartridges. Remove and reseat them to ensure proper contact.
Test with a Direct USB Connection
- If the printer won't connect via Wi-Fi, try connecting it to your computer via USB and test printing.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
